Assignment 2-1: My GIMP Photo

Check out the picture I played with on GIMP, just smudged the background a bit then used the pencil tool to write some notes on it, as well as the paint brush tool to make that "beautiful" partially opaque pink stripe. Just saying Hi! to my classmates - my friend Laura decided she wanted to introduce herself to you guys too. This picture was taken during Wednesday night trivia at a local pub named Kelleher's. Hello, my name is Cristina

I am using this blog for a course at BC called Discovering Graphics. I was born and raised in the city of Boston, although for part of this course I will be lucky enough to be on the coast of Long Island Sound. I am majoring in Psychology with Woods College, finishing up a degree I had previously begun at Villanova. In a year from now I will graduate with my Bachelors and begin working towards a DPT (to become a physical therapist). A computer course is a degree requirement and since I find graphics quite interesting, I chose to take this course. I look forward to learning more
