MIDTERM #6

MIDTERM #6

This is the final product from exercise 4 of the GIMPShop Step-by-Step Tutorials in the Bitmap Graphics textbook. This tutorial was about understanding and using layers of various opacity to create an image with a transparent background. After entering and anchoring my name as a layer, I pasted in the clip of the penguin, then moved the layer below the text.
It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics.

This gif animation is the final product from exercise 6 of the GIMPShop Step-by-Step Tutorials in the Bitmap Graphics textbook. First, I used the script fu Text Circle option to copy a circle of my name to the clipboard. Second, I added a new completely opaque layer, pasted the text circle onto it, used the Rotation tool to rotate it 45 degrees, then anchored the text to the layer. I repeated the second part three more times (rotating it an extra 45 degrees each time).
It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics.
